The Board met on January 18 for a retreat at the Florida Christian Center, where topics of conversation included ideas for the year, leadership and strategy, and the direction of the church.

One of the most foundational elements to come out of that meeting: new mission and vision statements to better reflect the way our church is growing. These statements were adopted by unanimous vote of our church Board.

Mission Statement

A mission statement should roughly answer the question, “Why do we exist?” It should explain why we do what we do.

Our new mission statement: We seek to fulfill God’s greatest commandments: to love God, and to love our neighbors and ourselves.

Vision Statement

A vision statement should be an extension of the leadership’s passions and convictions. It should paint a picture of who we want to be.

Our new vision statement:

To be the hands, feet, and beating heart of Jesus in a fragmented world by serving and welcoming all.
