Young At Heart

If you are not familiar with the Young at Heart, it is a Christian fellowship group that seeks to empower and enrich the lives of senior adults in the new roaring twenties of the 21st Century. It is a “youth” group for the young at heart.

Peggy plans to create monthly events that will feature not only great food but also memorable life enriching activities such as special guest speakers to address senior concerns, fun activities, local entertainers, field trips and service projects.

This group seeks to build our love for one another by getting to better know our brothers and sisters so that we may care for one another. This is important as some seniors find retirement to be lonely, scary, and lacking meaning and purpose. The Young at Heart fellowship seeks to enrich and empower seniors of all the possibilities for a new and exciting chapter in their lives and faith journey in a loving community.

This group is not closed to only our church family. We intend that this ministry provides us opportunities to love our neighbors by inviting and including them in our fellowship. We seek to intentionally reach out to new residents and neighbors who do not have a church home. We seek to let them know that this is a safe and loving place to build friendships and find support within our church family.
